We tend to look to ourselves to solve all our problems. We work harder, move faster and strive furiously to please people. The problem is we have frailties and imperfections, so if our only hope is in ourselves, we will come up short.
The truth is we were not made to do life all alone. God fashioned us on purpose for a purpose. He made us for love, relationship and mission. We will never know our true mission in life unless we seek out our designer.
God loves us so much that He didn't want us to be alone. He sent His exact image and the reflection of His glory, His only begotten son Jesus, to earth for us. Jesus did all the things we could not do. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross and was raised from the dead so we could receive His perfection, righteousness and innocence forever.
Now as we receive Jesus’ identity as the beloved child of God, we can relax into our Father God’s arms. God is with us, for us and on our side. He will provide, protect and lead us into our purpose. As we begin to lean on Him and be at ease, we will learn the unforced rhythms of grace. We will find supernatural rest no matter what life brings.
Isaiah 30:15 “In repentance and rest you will be saved, in quietness and trust is your strength.”
