Sometimes we can feel so lonely. We can be in the midst of a crowd and still feel all alone. However, if we open our hearts and minds, we can encounter love with another that will last forever.
The Infinite God of the Universe is omnipresent and omniscient. He is always with us and He deeply knows us, more than anyone else ever will. He created each and every single one of us in His image for relationship and love. He put all of our gifts, talents and abilities in us for our unique purpose in life. He not only is with us and knows us, He loves us radically and unconditionally.
As we receive Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross, we receive God as our Heavenly Father. We can boldly come to the throne room of Grace in prayer and receive help in time of need.
Now in times when we feel alone we can lean into our relationship with our Heavenly Father and lean into relationship with His people. We can seek our Father God in prayer and sense His beautiful tangible presence. It is in His presence that we feel whole, we sense well being develop deep down in our souls, and we experience freedom from the inside out.
We can also lean into the spiritual house of God, the church, the community of believers. God is powerful enough to meet a need: emotionally, physically, or relationally through imperfect people. In community where we can be transparent and authentic we find hope, restoration, healing and family who root and cheer us on in this race of life.
Hebrews 10:19-25 (MSG) - So, friends, we can now—without hesitation—walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The “curtain” into God’s presence is his body.- So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.
